AGRICULTURAL DELEGATION
Party Frdm Britain
(From Out Own Reporter) WELLINGTON, August 9. A British delegation headed by Sir John Winnifrith. permanent secretary to the United Kingdom Ministry of Agriculture, will arrive in Wellington from Australia next Monday to have talks on Agricultural policies and production trends for the next year. Other members of the delegation will be Mr W. C. Tame, who is in charge of a group pf departments in the Ministry. Miss Sheila Campbell, and Mr G. F. Myers.
The party will fly direct from Australia to Wellington, and will spend the next two days in discussions with the Minister of Agriculture and officials of tfce Department of Agriculture. On Thursday. August 17. the British party will travel to Christchurch by . air, and will visit Canterbury Agricultural College and the crop research division of the Division of Scientific and Industrial Research. Lincoln.
The next day. the party will visit mixed farming and other establishments on the way to Timaru. After spending the night at Timaru. the narty will travel to the Hermitage Mount Cook, insperWng high-country farms on -the way. Alter returning to Christchurch during the week-end. the party will go to Wellington by air on August 21. and will um.’ rtake the North Island section of its tour, finally leaving New Zealand bh August 31.
