A large gathering of airline and aviation -colleagues and officers, brother officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force of the war years, and - personal friends, filled St. James’ Church, Lower Hutt, this morning for the funeral of Mr J. J. Busch, general manager of the National Airways Corporation, whose sudden death occurred on Monday evening Among those present were the chairman (Sir Leonard Isitt) and directors of the boards of the National Airways Corporation and Tasman Empire Airways, the Minister of Transport (Mr McAlpine), and other members of Cabinet, the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nash), the Air Secretary (Mr B Rae), the Director of Civil Aviation (Sir Arthur Nevill). the Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Air Commodore R J Cohen), and the president of the’ Aviation Industry Association (Mr R. K. Garnham)
