7 Drop In Cheque (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 3. The 215.457 bales sold at the four Auckland wool sales in the 1960-61 season averaged £53 13s 8d a bale, of 38 23d per pound, according to figures released by the Auckland Wool Brokers’ Association. The total weight of wool sold was 72,614.4491 b. an average weight of 337.021 b a bale The gross proceeds of the four sales totalled £ 11.566.734 compared with £l2 458.784 las: season, a drop of 72 per cent. The final sale of the season, held on May 31 and June 2. resulted in the sa’e of 58.450 bales totalling 19.709 f®Olb. These grossed £3.053.473. an average of £52 4s lOd a b<e. or 37.18 d per pound. The average weight a bale was 337.21 b.
