Nyman Wins Chess Competition
A J. Nyman (140 points) won the Canterbury Chees Club’s perpetual handicap competition tor May In the senior championship, Nyman, playing white, drew with A. S. Hollander in their second-round game. Resuits of other games were: R W Smith 0. R. M- Broadbent 1: R. S. Abbott 0, G. V. Sumner 1. The annual telegraph chess match between Canterbury and Otago is to be played on July 29.
