Unusual Count

The former well-known Canterbury boxer, Mickey Drury, must be one of the few referees who has counted a boxer out while the boxer was sitting on his stool In the ring corner.

This unusual incident occurred on Monday night when two light welterweight amateur boxen fought during the preliminary bouts at the Show Grounds. T. Black proved too strong for P. Shepherd and knocked him down in the second round.
