GIRLS’ YOUTH CLUBS
Banquet, Stalls Held Girls’ Youth Clubs, run by the Young Men’s Christian Association, held a “mother and daughter” banquest last evening, when about 130 attended. Girls belonging to the midget, junior and senior clubs attended with their mothers and club leaders’ did most of the catering for the occasion. After the banquet, a mannequin parade was held by members of the senior club, and the iuniors did a series of exercises. A Gospel film entitled "A Chance to Grow.” wa= shown. A sweets and cakes stall, for which members of the senior club had provided food, was held. The junior members made articles for an arts and crafts sta’l. Proceeds from both stalls will go towards Y.M.C.A. youth work. At rresent. clubs held for the girls include gymnastics, arts and crafts, table tennis, and darts. A charm school 13 being conducted for senior members.
