Profit. Dividend Ip Net tax-paid profit of Harley Chambers. Ltd.. Christchurch, rose £721. or 325 per cent., to a record £2943 in the year ended April 30. 1961. The previous year profit fell £92. Recommended dividend has been raised from 5 per cent, to 6 per cent. The latest result is reached after provision of £768 (down £99) for depreciation and £1953 (up £79l' for taxation. The higher dividend will take £lBOO (£l5OO last year'. Profits clear this by £1143 and carry-forward is raised to £6144. Income from rents rose £970 to £9870. Interest receipts fell from £55 to £9 but a new revenue item, life insurance premium account, produced £5l. Interest on Mortgage Interest paid on the company's mortgage fell £163 to £6Bl. wages and management rose £202 to £3174 and repairs and maintenance fell £471 to £2ll. Paid capital is steady at £30.000 and capital revaluation reserve is steady at £32.354. The mortgage debt has been reduced by £4500 to £12.000. Sundry creditors are £127 lower at £352. Other current liabilities comprise provisions for taxation and dividend. Current assets are £1773 lower at £3383. Investments are £l4l higher at £2530. Fixed assets fell £1248 to £78.691
