Confusion At Zoo
Wellington’s weather has con fused the emus at the zoo. Taking the recent spell of fine mild weather to be the advent of spring, they have responded accordingly and yesterday produced a clutch of fine eggs. The director of the zoo. Mr C. J. Cutler, was horrified. Chicks and chills just did not go together, and winter was only begun, he said. •'Offspring are all very well, but this is a little too far off spring for my liking.” Mr Cutler said.—<P.A.)
