Interference To TV
(N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 29. Complaints that low-flying aircraft were interfering with television reception had been made in Sydney. But to what extent reception would be affected by that source in Wellington's eastern suburbs would not be known till television programmes got properly under way on July 1. tlhe chief engineer of the New Zealand Broadcasting Service (Mr W. L. Harrison! said today. He said aircraft did sometimes cause television interference, the waves being reflected off the aircraft to cause a slight -ripple on the screen of the receiver
