Rugby League U.K. TOUR N.Z. Officials

Appointed

Advice of the appointment of officials for this year’s tour of England and France by the New Zealand team was received at last evening's meeting of the Canterbury Rugby League from the New Zealand council.

The manager will be Mr C. H. Siddle. and the coach. Mr W. Telford. The New Zealand coach for the tests against Australia at Auckland will be Mr D. H White, and the manager, Mr J. C. Kay. The letter also included details of the movements of the New Zealand team for tile two tests against Australia In Auckland. The players will assemble in Auckland on Tuesday, June 26, and will remain together until the second test has been played. The manager of the Canterbury team for the match against West Coast next Monday will be Mr K. Roberts. The local manager for the West Coast team will be Mr M. Neiman.

Ltd, suffered minor head injuries when he fell 7ft from a platform at the company’s chemical works at Hornby yesterday morning He is Keith O’Brien, of 426 Port Hills road. Heathcote. Mr O’Brien, who was carrying out wiring work when the accident occurred, was taken to the Christchurch Hospital by a St. John Ambulance, but was discharged after treatment.
