No Statement On Talks

<NZ Prase Auoctottow) WELLINGTON, May 29. No statement has been released after a meeting in Wellington today of the Joint Council of Labour which comprises representatives of the labour Party and of the Federation of Labour A spokesman said a representative gathering had discussed a wide range of topics. The president of the FOL. (Mr F P. Walsh) was absent because of an engagement in Marton. Mr Walsh was expected to bring up the matter of Britain’s entry into the European Economic Community at the joint council. The spokesman declined to aay whether this topic had been discussed in Mr Walsh's absence.
