Chevron Sydney
Directors of Chevron Sydny, Ltd., state in their interim report that they are satisfied with results achieved since the company’s Chevron-Hilton hotel opened for business on September 16.
The period to January 31 was one of establishment involving a number of nonrecurring expenses. No interim dividend will be declared.
Demand for accommodation was greater than anticipated and the other facilities have been well patronised. A large percentage of business is being derived from overseas tourists, the report says. Management of the hotel is the company’s direct responsibility under the amended agreement with Hilton Hotels International, as announced last March.
