Fragile Shift
A 52ft by 21ft glasshouse with 1084 panes will be shifted intact by road for a distance of two miles by a Wellington contractor (Mr G. Wagstaff) next week. Mr Wagstaff claims that it is the first time that an attempt has been made in New Zealand to shift such a big glasshouse. The preparatory work is. in bis opinion, “the most tricky aspect of the job.” He is confident that the shift will “go without a hitch.”—(P.A )
