Petrol Escapes

About 140 gallons of petrol flowed over a wide area of Beach road. Parnell, yesterday morning. An underground storage tank overflowed when it was being filled from a tanker. Firemen and City Council employees quickly set up fire warning notices. The danger abated after about five hours when the petrol had drained away.—(P.A.)
