Inquiry On Police

(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 19. The Commissioner of Police. Mr W S. Brown, said •i) Wellington this week that an inquiry was being made into allegations of association of Auckland policemen with a woman who has convictions in both Australia and New Zealand. Mr Brown said there would be no public inquiry and that he did not know how many mtn were involved in thi inquiry The Commissioner said some members of the force in Auckland had resigned but he did not know how involved they were with the matter under investigation.
