Mr P. Williamson has been elected chairman of the finance committee of the Glenelg Health Camp Management Committee, in succession to Mr R. M. Naysmith. Mr D. W. Bain has been appointed secretary of the Canterbury Mental’ Health Council. He succeeds Mr E. R. Dunn, of the Health Department. Mr E. G. Beckett, the Canterbury Public Relations Officer, has been appointed the Canterbury Progress League’s representative on the sub-committee arranging the celebrations for the Royal Society of New Zealand. The Royal Society of New Zealand will celebrate its centenary in August 1962. Mr C. J. Sadler, of Christchurch, has been appointed station manager of 2ZA to replace Mr K. W. Donaldson, who was transferred recently as supervisor of television in Wellington. This has been announced by the Public Service Commission. Mr Sadler is at present advertising officer at station 3ZB.—(P.Aj
