Hospital Routine May Be Changed

Alterations in the early morning routine at the Christchurch Hospital, to allow later wakening of patients, are being considered by a committee of the nursing staff at the hospital, the lady superintendent (Mrs M. Chambers) said yesterday. “We have already made one or two minor changes, and some patients are not now being woken quite so early, but a major alteration requires very careful investigation.” Mrs Chambers said. “A change in one item may well

i ’ mean half a dozen altera- . tions in other directions, and ■ this may in some cases be ■ impracticable.” No patients . were being wakened earlier I than 6 a.m.. she added.
