After having played consistent match-winning tennis to reach the final of the NewSouth Wales girls’ under-17 singles championship, th« young New Zealander. Elizabeth Cavaye, was defeated for the title at White Citv courts today. She was beaten by a Sydney girl Kay Dening. one of Australia’s most promising junior players. Miss Dening, who is only 15, was too accurate and severe fore the New Zealand player. She raced to an early 6-2, 6-1. victory, giving the visitor little chance to play her natural game. It was her second title win.
