, The estimated final cost of the hardstanding for visiting aircraft at the Christchurch airport is £60,912, with the contractors’ charge of £53,312 the major item.
The City Engineer (Mr E. Somers) estimated the work to cost £61.480, and the Government's approval has been received by the City Council for its share of the cost.
