Police today searched down the Great South road for a 17-year-o!d British seaman, Dennis Charles Roe. who

escaped late on Wednesday afternoon from the cells at the Auckland Magistrate’s Court Roe had been charged with deserting his ship at Lyttelton last month. The police in their search for Roe around the waterfront last night found another man Wanted for ship desertion.— (PA.)
