The youngest member of the team is 13-year-old John Tregidga, due to begin his first year at secondary schjl but much keener to see the world. Lessons go with him. His 22-year-old sister. Lyn. has been through training college and will supervise his correspondence courses.

The other members of the Tregidga family on the cruise are Diane, aged 16. and Susan, aged 15. The party will probably spend some time in the Great Barrier Reef area , before heading round the top of Australia, and through the Indian ocean and the Mediterranean to Britain.
