N.Z. RUGBY LEAGUE

Annual Report, Balance-Sheet (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, April 27. More than half the New Zealand Rugby League's assets of £60,727 is on loan to affiliated Leagues. This is shown in the balance-sheet attached to the fifty-second annual report, which will be presented at the annual meeting of the League in Auckland tomorrow. Advances to affiliated Leagues total £33,727, of which total Auckland has received £17,504, Wellington £6480, Waikato £4250, West Coast £3350, Northland £2044, and Rotorua £9B.

In addition, the New Zealand Rugby League holds Government stock and local body debentures valued at £14.950, and has cash assets in various banks totalling £8262. It is owed £3284 by the French Rugby League, and £149 by the English League. The New Zealand League's income last year was £5021. of which £2982 was contributed by the French tour of New Zealand, and £1874 by the World Cup and French matches played by the Kiwi team which was sent to England.

Expenses for the season were so low that the surplus for the season was £3207. and after deduction of £B5l for the national coaching school and some other charges, a profit of £2398 was made on the year.
