Naval Hero’s Death

in zj’ji.-Rmtr— LONDON. April 3. A British naval hero in both world wars. Admiral the Hon. Sir Cyril Eustace Douglas-Pennant, died at his London flat today. Admiral Douglas-Pennant. who was 6". was awarded the Legion of Merit, bestowed by the President of the United States, for gallant and distinguished services in World War n Normandy invasions when he commanded the joint British-Canadian assault force. He was awarded the British Distinguished Service Cross for services as a junior officer in destroyer and torpedo flotillas during the 1914-18 war.
