TRUCK LEAVES ROAD
Accident Near Kaituna Two men suffered head injuries when their truck left the road on a bend near the Kaituna railway station on the Christchurch - Akaroa highway. The two men. Messrs C. A. Black, of 41 Wrights road. Addington, and A. F. Cunnard. of 102 Halswell road, were treated at the Christchurch Hospital and sent home. A third passenger in the truck. Mrs C. A. Black, was not injured. It is believed that some children were travelling in the truck but they were not injured and were taken to Christchurch by private car. The accident occurred about 9 p.na. Extensive damage was done to the truck, which overturned when it left the road. A St. John ambulance from Christchurch took the injured men to hospital. Export Crockery Crockery is the latest New Zealand-made product to win an export market. The Minister of Overseas Trade (Mr Marshall) marked the event by stencilling “export” on the first case of crockery to be packed for Australia by an Auckland firm. The case was a shipment consisting of 60.000 pieces made up into dinner sets.
