BOARD TRACK FOR AUCKLAND URGED
(NZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND. March 27. The Olympic 5000 metres champion, M. Halberg. said an indoor board track was a “must” for Auckland when he returned from his successful Tokyo visit at the week-end. The board track atmosphere was a new and thrilling experience for people, putting the runner right in the crowd and the crowd almost on the track with the runners. Halberg said.
