Pennant Races On Estuary

Sixty boats sailed in the third of four Estuary inter-club pennant championship races on Saturday.

In the open classes 49 boats started but only 36 saw out the course which was two laps round the Estuary in a light but steady easterly. The Pleasant Point shearwater catamaran Neptune (R. Frost) made fastest time, as could be expected, but the Christchurch Yacht Club dinghy Frenzy (G. Mander) was not far behind on elapsed time. The leading boats in each class were:— R.
