Re-dedicatien Service.—The annual re-dedication service for all members of Mothers' Union branches and Young Wives Groups in St. Chad’s, Linwood, and Aranui, was held at St. Chad’s Church recently. The Rev. A A. Purchas conducted the service. A talk on Tanganyika was given, illustrated with Country Girls’ Club.: Mrs N. Habgood presided at the annual meeting of the Lincoln Country Girls’ Club recently. The following officers were elected:—President, Miss E. Stone; vice-president. Miss C. Fraser: secretary. Miss J. A Glynan; treasurer, Mrs E. Nesbitt; advisory members, Mrs J. Fraser, Mrs N. Habgood, Mrs R. J Rickerby; committee, Mrs E. Earnshaw, Miss C. Fraser, Miss J. Williamson, Miss G. Rickerby, Miss B. Craw, Miss J. Ryan. Beryl McCombs Kindergarten: A talk on a child’s first days at school was given by an infant mistress at the recent annual meeting of the Beryl McCombs Memorial Kindergarten at Redcliffs. The following officers were elected:—Patron, Miss F. Holland; president, Mrs J. Barton; vice-presidents, Mesdames J. Hunt, T. Davidson, M. Willets; secretary, Mrs F. Langbome; treasurer, Mrs G. Ex - Giris’ Association.— Officers elected at the recent annual meeting of the Otaigo High School Ex-Girls’ Association (Christchurch branch) were:—Patron, Mrs L Adams; vice-patron. Misses C. B. Donaldson, S. Bayley; president, Mrs M. Robinson; vice-presidents, Miss M. Samuel, Mesdames K. Patterson, L. Gainsford, A. E. Taylor, N. Stanley; secretary, Mrs N. Stanley; assistant secretary, Mrs J. Fraser: treasurer. Mrs I. Hunt; committee, Mesdames M. Anderson, R. Bishop. N. Beaumont. P. Pheloung, E. McKeich, J. Stuart, Misses B. Dawson and C. Johnstone. Women Teachers.—Mrs J. Vernon presided at a recent meeting of the North Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Women Teachers’ Association, when members bid farewell to Miss R. D. Hay. the former president, who has retired from teaching. Miss B. B. Evans referred to Miss Hay’s many years of service as treasurer and president of the North Canterbury branch, and Dominion treasurer, and presented her with a shoulder spray. Miss Evans then welcomed Mrs Vernon as the new president. The meeting concluded with an address on the recent Pan-Pacific and South-east Asia Women’s Association conference at Canberra, to which Misses Evans and Hay were delegates.
