SCHOOLBOY VANDALS
Two Sentenced To Whipping ADELAIDE. March 21 Two schoolboy vandals were sentenced to a whippine at Adelaide yesterday. Michailo Romanowycz. aged 15, a junior porter, and Gediminas Poperinskas. aged 14. a student, both of Taperoo. were each sentenced to 10 strokes for having wil ; fully damaged Taperoo High School on December 29, and 15 strokes for having maliciously set fire to the school on February 9 Losses through theft and damage totalled £33.600. The Magistrate (Mr L. F. J Johnstone) suggested the whipping be administered with a cane, and said both boys were a menace to the community. They were also committed to a reformatory until they were 18.
