Obituary CAPT. H. FREEMANGREENE

The death occurred recently of Captain H. FreemanGreene, who was well known in Christchurch for his work for the Young Men’s Christian Association. He was 75. Captain Freeman - Greene served with the Grenadier Guards in France during the First World War and afterwards came to New Zealand where be settled first in Dunedin. He came to Christchurch 30 years ago. During this time Captain Freeman-Greene was closely associated with the Christchurch Cathedral where he served as a sidesman for 25 years. Other interests included his membership of the Justices of the Peace Association and the Optimists’ Club of the Y.M.C.A. Captain Freeman-Greene is survived by his wife and two sons, Mr D. FreemanGreene. of Sydney, and Mr H. Freeman-Greene, of London.
