C. C. Devine, G. B. Noble

Desmond, president of the Canterbury Trotting Owners’ and Breeders’ Association, last evening. Mr Desmond was speaking at a function put on by his association to bid farewell to C. C. Devine and G. B. Noble, the respective trainers of False Step and Arania.

successors to that champion, said Mr Desmond. Mr Desmond expressed the best wishes of all members of his association to Devine and Noble before presenting them each with a travelling case. Messrs K. Scott and E. Paul also spoke, and the two trainers replied.
