STATE AID TO SCHOOLS
Committees’ Policy Confirmed
(N.Z, Press Association) WANGANUI, March 20.
The New Zealand Federation of School Committees has rejected a proposal that the primary departments of private schools be brought under education board control.
The annual conference confirmed the policy that no further State aid be granted to private schools.
A remit to this effect was tabled by the Wellington association.
The rejected amendment was: “That in view of the amount of aid being granted to private schools, the primary departments be ■brought under education board control.”
