Safety Association Speaking Contest
The National Safety Association's third annual public speaking contest for postprimary schoolchildren and apprentices will be held soon and entries close on April 7 The national final will be held in Wellington on May 17, the Canterbury and Westland divisional final will take place on or before May 3. and if sectional finals are necessary in the South Canterbury and West Coast districts they will be held before the divisional finals. The subject of this year’s contest will be ’’Accident Prevention—A Moral Obligation.” All post-primary school pupils and apprentices attending day or evening classes at technical college are eligible to enter.
