French Butter “Dumped”
(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) (Rec. 11 p.m.) AALBORG (Denmark), March 17. France was accused yesterday of dumping butter on the British market. The accusation was made by the manager of the Danish Dairy Board. Mr P. P. Henriksen. Though British production had increased, “it is nevertheless to quite an overwhelming degree the marginal and untraditional supplying countries which spoil market conditions by still higher subsidies on their exports to Britain.” Mr Henriksen said France had sent 4000 tons of butter to Britain since January—about 10 times the normal amount for this time of the year. France’s action was in defiance of previous assurance.
