MURDER OF DOCTOR
£lOOO Reward Offer (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, March 17. The New South Wales State Government has gazetted a reward offer of £lOOO for information leading to the conviction of the killer of Dr. James Macrae Yeates, who was a prominent Sydney surgeon. The body of Dr. Yeates was found on the floor of the garage of his home in Vaucluse, a harbourside suburb, early on September 15, last year. On January 19, the City Coroner, Mr C. S. Rodgers, S.M., found Dr. Yeates had died from the effects of a fractured skull and an injection of adrenalin into the region of the heart. He found Dr. Yeates had been feloniously slain by some person or persons unknown. The reward offer, gazetted today, will remain in force for 12 months, and the payment will be at the sole discretion of the Commissioner of Police.
