DIPLOMAT ARRIVES
New Japanese Ambassador
(N.Z Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 9. The Japanese Ambassadordesignate to New Zealand. Mr Kaoru Hara, arrived in Auckland today. Mrs Hara will follow him later with their two sons.
‘’Closer relationships are being built up between our countries all the time,” said Mr Hara. “I am here to strengthen this friendship.” Mr Hara considers the exchange of visits by New Zealand and Japanese Prime Ministers did much toward establishing closer relations between the countries. Mr Hara presented his credentials to the GovernorGeneral (Lord Cobham) this afternoon. He will fly to Wellington on Sunday.
