Waipuna Station Sale

A total of 2629 ewes and lambs—almost all ewes—were yarded for the fifth annual sale held recently at the Waipuna Station, Ikamatua. Romney two-tooths from the station numbering 779 sold from 61s -o 94s .with 00 realising the top price. An outside entry of 39 two-tooths from T. W. Hughes (North Beach, Cobden) also realised 70s. The station sold 501 four-year-old Romneys from 81s to 57s with 60 at the top price, 130 four and five-year-old Romneys at 38s to 425, and 477 five-year-old Romney ewes at 30s to 43s with 60 at the higher figure.
