B.M.A. Treasurer Arrives In N.Z.

(N.Z. Praia Association) AUCKLAND. January 31. Mr L. Dougal Callander, treasurer of the British Medical Association, arrived in Auckland today in the Athenic to attend the one hundred and twenty-ninth annual meeting of the association. The B.M.A. was growing throughout the Commonwealth all the time, he said. As it grew its importance was increasing. At present the membership was 75,000. Mr Callander, formerly a consulting surgeon, said almost all his time was now devoted to administrative work for the B.M.A. “I have never heard a word of adverse criticism about the standard of young doctors who come to us from New Zealand.” he said. "They must be pretty good.”
