Gay Alabama Injured
Gay Alabama pulled muscles in a hind leg soon after the start of the Auckland Cup last Tuesday night and it will probably be some months before she can race again. The Medoro mare is at present under veterinary treatment in Auckland and it is not yet known when she will be fit enough to return south. Gay Alabama has gained two wins and two placings from 14 starts this season. She is trained at Templeton by K. Purdon for Mr F. Smith.
