Man Injured When Car Overturns

A man escaped serious injury when the car in which he was travelling was involved in a collision with a 30cwt truck at the intersection of Worcester street and Fitzgerald avenue at 757 p.m. yesterday. The car overturned with the impact and skidded for a considerable distance in Fitzgerald avenue on Its roof before coming to rest with the roof partly caved in. The man, Michael Salisbury, aged 27, of U Brockenhurst street, Wainani. suffered head injuries. He was taken by St. John ambulance tothe Christchurch Hospital, where his condition was reported late last evening as satisfactory.
