Peak Effort Destroyed
Peak Effort fractured a pastern bone in his off hind leg in the Champion Hack Handicap at Wingatui yesterday. He was pulled up in the straight after being one of the leaders, was examined by a veterinary surgeon, and destroyed. Peak Effort was a six-year-old Eeaumaris—Molos gelding owned and trained at Wingatui by Mr D. J. McDonald.
