Company News TAKEOVER BIDS FOR DOM. FERT.

K.P. Asked To Extend Offer

(Neu> Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, Dec. 15.

Advice to Dominion Fertiliser Company shareholders not to dispose of their shares in the meantime, was given today by the deputy-chairman of the company, Mr A. C. Cameron, when asked to comment on the take-over offers made by Kempthome Prosser’s New Zealand Drug Company, Ltd., and Wright Stephenson and Company, Ltd. Two offers had been received by the board of directors of Dominion Fertiliser, at a meeting last Tuesday. Both were from strong companies, and said Mr Cameron, in the normal course of events would have to be submitted to the shareholders, with whom the final decision would rest. In the meantime, the Dominion Fertiliser directors had asked Kempthome Prosser for an extension of time beyond the limit of their offer, in order that the respective merits of tbe two offers could be analysed.
