WOMAN FOUND STABBED
Doctor Finds Wound Was Self-Inflicted (New Zealand Press Association) ROTORUA, December 9 There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of Mrs Tani McCullough, who was found in the sittingroom of her Waimana home early yesterday morning with a knife wound in her chest. A post mortem examination conducted by Dr. M. G. Somerville. of Tauranga. last night, disclosed that the fatal wound was self-inflicted. An inquest for identification purposes before Mr S. Osborne, Whakatane Coroner, has been adjourned sine die. Senior Sergeant J. M. Bourke, Whakatane, confirmed today that there were no suspicious circumstances attached to the death.
Mrs McCullough, aged 50. the wife of Walter McCullough, a farmhand, of Waimana. was found by her husband at 3 a m. yesterday. The police took possession of a knife found in the house.
