The appearance of several horses with important holiday engagements will add interest to the Tapanui Handicap, main event, at the Tapanui Racing Club’s annual meeting at Gore tomorrow. With the Dunedin. Wyndham, and Southland meetings to follow. the form could, in some cases, be a worthwhile guide. The double will be on the Dwyer Memorial and Tapanui Handicap, for which R. J. Skelton’s two mounts. Bontavia and Underarm, are likely to be favourites. Bontavia was a last-start winner at Beaumont, and Underarm has won three of his last four starts The weather has been fine and the track should be fast.
