Steady Profit, Sales Up £3m.
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Dec. 5 Imperial Chemical Industries of Australia and New Zealand Ltd lifted group sales from £6O mil-, lion to £63 million in its latest year to September 30. Consolidated net profit for the year was £2,816,318, compared with £2,836,995 in 1958-59.
The result is from a preliminary statement and is subject to audit. It does not- Include the equity of outside shareholders or profits retained by subsidiary companies. The previous year’s result, including these figures was £3,255,099.
Taxation provision has been lifted from £540,000 to £790,000 and depreciation allowance from £1343,000 to £1,564,000. Dividend for the year has been maintained at 10 per cent. The final 61 per cent, is payable on March 1. 1961.
