£15,000 FIRE AT WHAKATANE
Waste Paper Lost At Board Mills (New Zealand Pres* Associations WHAKATANE, Dec. 2. An estimated 1500 tons of waste paper was destroyed by fire at > Whakatane Board Mills plant today. The paper was worth ' about £15,000. Bulldozers channelled a track ' through the pile, saving more ‘ paper. Six hoses from three [ brigades will be played on the , smouldering stack throughout the ’ night.
