Howe Shield Win To Taranaki
(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, November 27. Taranaki’s junior girls beat Wanganui by the narrowest of margins in the first Howe shield elimination tennis fixture of the season played at Hawera on Saturday. Wth matches five-all at the end of play Taranaki was declared the winner when a count-up of sets gave it a lead of one, 12 sets to 11.
