Philippine Team Surprises

'N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) BRISBANE, Nov. 21.

The Philippine Davis Cup captain. Albert del Rio today gambled on youth for the interzone semi-final against the United States. Del Rio caused a shock at the cup draw by naming two 22-year-olds. Juan Jose and Eddie Dungo, for both the singles and doubles. He omitted the Philippines two top-ranking players, Reymundo Deyro and Felicisimo Ampon, from all matches. While the underdogs took a risk, the American captain. David Freed decided not to underestimate the opposition. He selected his top players. Barry Mackay and Earl Bucholz to play the first two singles matches at Milton tomorrow.
