Urgent Appeal For Blood
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 18 Twenty bottles of blood, of the rare AB Rh negative groups, are urgently needed by the Auckland Blood Transfusion Service. Transfusion arrangements must be completed by midday Monday, as the blood is needed for a male patient who will undergo a heart stoppage operation at Green Lane Hospital on Tuesday. Only three people in every 1000 have the AB Rh negative blood grouping.
