Marlborough.—Fresh southerlies; cloudy and cool, with occasional showers. Outlook: scattered showers.
Nelson.—Moderate to fresh west to south-west winds; scattered showers about the ranges, otherwise fine; moderate day temperatures. Outlook: fine.
West Coast: Light variable winds; fine weather, with rather cool temperatures. Outlook: fine.
Canterbury.—Moderate to fresh south to south-west winds; occasional showers, but increasing fair intervals; temperatures cool. Outlook: fine.
