Presbyterian Call For Action (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH Nov.. 15. The Presbyterian Church intends to ask the Government to recognise Communist China and to press for her admission to the United Nations. , The Church’s General Assembly meeting in Palmerston North today decided that such action 'was desirable to help maintain peace A report of the committee on international relations said the recognition of the People’s Republic of China as the real government of that country seemed to be more necessary and more urgent as time went by. “To deny recognition, ’or even to delay it, frustrates the very purpose for which the United Nations has been brought Into being,” said the report (t L he K conv “ er «' <he committee (the Rev.
